About Me.
My name is Mike Wood. I am 66 years old and have been a very grateful member of various alcohol and drug fellowships for nearly 22 years. I struggled with binge drinking very early in my teen years, and this graduated to a serious drink and drug addiction into my thirties. Eventually I sought proper addiction therapy, and at 43 years of age, eventually the penny finally dropped-and now I lead a wonderful sober life.
I went to college in 2006 and past up to level 3 in my counselling skills course. I worked on a drug help line for 5 years. I also simultaneously, along with 3 other recovery friends set up Cocaine anonymous in Manchester and then worked voluntarily for 2 years at ADAS (a drink and drug rehabilitation centre) in stockport.
In 2007 I went to work for Mick McCarthy at Wolverhampton wandered mentoring any players who wanted support. In 2008, was joined by Jeff Whitley, and spent in total 5 seasons there.
I have helped and supported many alcoholics and addicts in the past 2 decades (please read some of my testimonials). I have a wealth of knowledge in this very sad world of addiction. I am here to help either the alcoholic/addict and/or any family member of friend.
it's a very prompt service and totally confidential.
